The monitoring and evaluation of LIFE SURE project was mainly done by the research team from Linnaeus University
The monitoring and evaluation of LIFE SURE project was mainly done by research teams from Linnaeus University. Monitoring is an important part of an innovation project, in order to verify the the pre-established hypotheses. In LIFE SURE, the monitoring was aimed towards the impact on the marine environment as well as the sustainability of the system. Besides, the user friendliness, overall effectiveness, energy use and cost-effectiveness of the system were closely evaluated.
The conclusion of the monitoring programmes are:
- The LIFE SURE solution has limited negative effects on Malmfjärden bay
- The LIFE SURE system of sediment treatment and dewatering is effective and has low energy use
- The LIFE SURE solution can be just as cost effective and has lower environmental costs
- The LIFE SURE solution is movable and user friendly
